Elliot Valentine is a composer, lyricist, bookwriter and dramaturg. He writes queer speculative musical theater. He is currently studying Dramaturgy at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale. Elliot holds a B. A. in English, Theater, Music Theater, and Gender and Sexuality Studies from Princeton University. In his spare time, Elliot Valentine writes pop music under the artist name elliotly. He uses he/him pronouns.
Elliot was an OpenAIR MT Artist in Residence (2024) and a Live and In Color Musical Development Program Semifinalist (2024) for Ghost Story, as well as an Eugene O’Neill National Music Theater Conference Semifinalist (2023) and the recipient of Princeton’s Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts (2023) for Adamandi. Other credits include Ring of Keys’ “Queering the Gala” at Joe’s Pub (2024) and LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: a Transmasc Cabaret at the Green Room 42 (2024).
